Our Day in Our Words

Today we spent the whole day without the Grade 4's :(

Although we missed them (Farewell Celebration at River Edge) we had a great day getting to know each other as future grade 4's and next year's leaders. We put together some nice surprises for our outgoing peers and had a lot of fun in PE playing "Not in My Yard".  We finished up glazing some of our clay creations and listened to a fun Math story at the end of the day.

School's winding down and we can't wait for summer but we are really enjoying our last few days at school with our Grade 4 Hope Pod pals.

Reminders:

Tomorrow is Coulee Fest for Grade 4's so please remember to help me pack for any weather and bring water!!

Tomorrow night is also the Film Festival! It starts at 6:15 and runs until 7:45pm. Bring your own popcorn!!

Informal Grade 4 Farewell Assembly @ 10:30am on Monday, June 24th

Sports Day is coming up next week on Tuesday, June 25th. We still need parent volunteers. And... we also need a few parents to bring enough fruit for the kids in the pod to have snacks on sports day.
We know we've asked a lot of you lately and we appreciate the high degree of support you give us.

Our day in our words.........

Today we went to Glenbow Ranch for a field trip.   A BIG thank-you to all the parent volunteers!!

- We used our visual journals to sketch different habitats at the Ranch.   There was a forest, Pond, Grassland, a possible bat habitat which was an old abandoned structure.

- Some were on a log and it felt like it was vibrating.   We wondered if it was full of ants.

- We sang a fun song called Wadali Atcha.   We went as fast as Mach 5.

- It was a hot day but we had fun.

Reminders........

- Gr. 4's make sure to bring in forms for River's Edge.   The day in Wednesday of next week.

Mr. Derr set up games of "Ultimate Frisbee" so we got a lot of activity this am. We read another chapter of Silverwing and no one is quite sure how this story will end. Ask me about my predictions......
In the afternoon the Grade 4's continued their health unit while the Grade 3's talked about "Friendology 101". Ask me about this too......
We finished the day up the day with some Daily 5, Art, and butterfly observations that we needed to finish. Don't forget, we need to get ready tonight for my Field Trip to Glenbow Ranch tomorrow.
